Here are some recipes are some of our favorite recipes that we have tested in our community nutrition programs. 

  • Grain Group: Basic Grain Pilaf, Granola with Apricots and Cranberries, Speedy Spanish Rice
  • Vegetable Group: Very Veggie Oriental Slaw, Veggie Roll-ups, Sweet Potato Bread with Cranberries
  • Fruit Group: Crunchy Fruit Sundae, Fruit Smoothies, Fruit Kabobs
  • Milk Group: Broccoli Cheddar Soup, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Spinach Dip, Yogurt Cheese
  • Meat & Bean Group: 15-Minute Chili, Tasty Tuna Patty, Chessa's Tex Mex Bean Salad 

Recipe of the Month: 
Strawberries make a perfect summer treat. They are good as a snack, mixed in yogurt or blended in a smoothie.  Here are a couple other ideas to take advantage of the strawberry season.
