Creating Healthier Lives
At the Nutrition Council, we believe that communicating  practical, scientifically based nutrition messages is key to making healthier lifestyle changes.  Our programs reflect the most current nutrition information which engage the audience through interactive and tactile learning methods.  Our staff of nutrition professionals have extensive knowledge and experience working with groups of all ages and background.

Cincinnati Nutrition Network for the First 5, our early childhood initiative, empowers educators, providers, and parents to encourage children in their care to make healthful lifestyle choices.

Our school-based programs help create environments that promote and support healthy lifestyles for students, families and staff. We partner with community organizations like Family & Children First Council and Families Forward to deliver integrated nutrition education programs in local schools.  We also offer schools a variety of nutrition education resources and consultation services.

Flying Pig Kids Marathon is a fitness and nutrition program designed to help children move more, eat well and be smart. Participating students, run, walk or wheelchair the 26.2 miles distance of a marathon in increments during the months leading up to the Flying Pig Marathon. This program is an excellent way to comply with the School Wellness requirements.

Our community-based programs provide a wide variety of nutrition education resources for worksites, community groups and social service agencies.
